Tuberculosis (TB) Tests for Work or School

Florida Department of Health in Marion County

Tuberculosis tests are offered at the Ocala (main) office (1801 SE 32nd Ave.) and cost $12.72. Department of Health in Marion County staff administer tuberculosis tests for work or school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

To be able to complete the test, you must be able to return to have the test read within 48-72 hours from the time the test is placed. The clinic cannot perform tests on Thursdays due to staff’s need to review the results within this timeframe. Only DOH-Marion Immunizations and Epidemiology staff can read and certify tuberculosis test results.

Please note: DOH-Marion staff cannot complete physical exam forms or documentation that a client is free from communicable diseases.
