In order to be eligible for future deployment missions, all MRC volunteers are required to take two training courses. These courses are foundation-level courses which will prepare you for your role as a Marion County Medical Reserve Corps volunteer. The courses are Introduction to Incident Command System (IS-100.C offered online or in-person) and National Incident Management System (IS-700.B offered online).
MRC volunteers are welcome to attend trainings at DOH-Marion covering topics such as CPR, life-saving skills to control severe bleeding in emergencies, and Special Needs Shelter operations. Contact the DOH-Marion volunteer coordinator at 352-644-2742 for more information.
