Sanitary Nuisances

Environmental Health staff investigates nuisance complaints and follow-up with enforcement action against those responsible. Typical nuisances may include failing septic systems, sewage leaks, the keeping of diseased animals which pose a threat to human health, and any condition capable of breeding insects or rodents.

Department of Health inspectors will visit the site of the problem, advising property owners of the steps they need to take to correct any problems. We will provide the same information to residents on the property.
