DOH-Marion provides COVID-19 update (Aug. 10)

OCALA, Fla.—Marion County is reporting 6,573 cumulative cases of COVID-19 as of this afternoon. This is an increase of 62 cases since yesterday (Aug. 9); 17 of today’s cases were correctional-related.

Of Marion COVID-19 tests from Aug. 9, 14.3% were positive; the county’s cumulative positive test rate is 12.5%. The daily positivity rate for all new COVID-19 tests in Florida on Aug. 9 was 8.6%; the state’s most recent cumulative positive rate is 13.36%.
