OCALA, Fla.—Marion County is reporting 202 COVID-19 cases as of 4 p.m. today. The most recent individuals confirmed to have the virus are:

• 20-year-old male from Ocala
• 35-year-old female from Ocala
• 38-year-old female from Belleview
• 40-year-old female from Ocala
• 47-year-old male from Ocala
• 79-year-old female from Ocala

So far, 5,789 COVID-19 tests have been given in Marion County. Of those, 5,586 were negative. Individuals who tested positive for the virus have ranged in age from 1 to 96. Five Marion County residents have died after becoming ill with COVID-19. Marion’s positive test rate is 3.5%; Florida’s positive test rate is 7.6%.
