DOH-Marion Offers Free Breast Cancer Screenings

Ocala, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Marion County (DOH-Marion) is partnering with the Marion County Board of County Commissioners (Commission) to provide free breast cancer screenings to women in the community.
The partners seek to emphasize the importance of early detection in diagnosing and treating breast cancer.
DOH-Marion has arranged for Mammolink, a provider of mobile mammogram services, to provide free 3-D mammograms on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following location:
Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place
1824 NW 21st Ave.
Staff from DOH-Marion’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program will also be on hand to determine if women can enroll in the program. Those who qualify can obtain breast and cervical cancer screenings for free or at a low cost.
