By The Florida Department of Health in Marion County

December 01, 2015

Ocala, Fla.—Deborah Allen, certified application counselor for the Florida Department of Health, will be at the department’s Ocala location, 1801 SE 32nd Avenue, 9 a.m.–2 p.m. Dec. 4 to help families sign up for Florida KidCare Florida’s high-quality, low-cost health insurance for children from birth through age 18.

“Florida KidCare is enrolling new children every day and making it easier for families to get in the program and stay in,” said Allen. “We want to help families work through the application process and get the health care coverage they need.”

Allen will be at the health department’s Ocala location the first Friday of each month to help families apply for coverage. Currently, more than 1.8 million Florida children are enrolled in Florida KidCare. Enrollment is open and families can apply online or call 1-888-540-KIDS (5437) to have an application mailed to them.

“Application assistors such as myself help families enroll in the Florida KidCare program and make the application process easy to understand,” said Allen. “We know from experience the best way to engage Florida KidCare eligible families is with face-to-face contact and support.”

Call Deborah Allen at 904-263-9269 for information.
