Learn tips to lose weight (and keep it off) at free upcoming event

OCALA, Fla.—Residents with new year’s weight loss resolutions will soon be able to attend an event that could help them meet their 2019 goals. In partnership with the Active Marion Project (AMP), the Florida Department of Health in Marion County is hosting “4 Tips to Lose Weight and Keep It Off,” on Jan. 15 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

During the presentation, registered dietician Brianna Liles will help attendees learn how to develop a successful plan to lose weight built around the basics of a healthy diet and regular exercise. The event will be held in the Department of Health’s auditorium, located at 1801 SE 32nd Ave., Ocala. Residents are welcome to bring their lunch to the event.
